Metal Detecting
I had a great hunt with four fellows including ‘FMERG,’ Frank - and his Son Eric, up in Kingston, New York today. We did a couple of different farm fields and detected from 930am, till about 2pm, when my buddy Andrew and I had to start on or 90-mile road trip back to White Plains, downstate.
Andrew got his first musket ball today, I got a Three-ringer, and our buddy Eric scored a 1853 seated dime! There were some buttons found and another musket ball as well. I kept my Upstate nickname intact – “Ironman,” having to dump all the iron out of my pouch after using the Sand Shark for the first hour! Found the three-ring bullet at about 7” with the Tesoro Lobo. A little cool, and a lot windy, but the company and experience was fantastic!

the seated was fun to dig, the fact that it was no more then 4 feet from the other guy
