Kunzite, again

Well finished this re-cut of another kunzite today for a guy in Europe. Pretty happy with the results considering I was "free styling" - using no diagram to cut after. It ended up at 6.26 cts (was 11 from start). Decent results for such a poorly cut stone!

if I find a "before" imagine I'll post it to.

Very nice EU. I just looked it up in my rock book & it is a beautiful stone.

Thanks mama, it is a nice stone! Although among faceters not very appreciated. Difficult to cut.

Here is a before/after image. The top left is 'before'. Quite the difference, huh?

It seems the crystalline structure could make for breaks. It looks like it would be nerve wracking to cut.
