Finally got out. The quarry was blocked off. Looks like they don't want anyone up there now, so I went to the lake. I was under just over 3 hours and got this pile of stuff

I found a plumb bob and the usual clad. I found a 1929 whew tie and three rings. Two have hallmarks. The plain Jane band says .925

Sorry to hear about the quarry. Looks like you still got out and enjoyed the hunt. Congrats on the rings and other things.

Congrats on the silver ring. Hope they all turn out to be silver!!!

nice finds!, nothing wrong with a few silver rings!

Looks like the second option worked out for you. Just heard on the news where a company purchased a quarry and posted it, still somebody drowned on the weekend swimming.

That third ring is most likely silver, based on weight and how it is tarnished the same as the others. I really should get a tester.

Nice stuff even if it was second pick. Congrats!

Very nice Higgy! Three silver rings is sweet. Best of luck to you!

Higgy - You a tank diver? Steel 130? Guessing by the 3 hours........

Jealous. I only broke out the scuba gear once on my whole weeklong vacation last week... only one junk ring for me. Keep kicking myself for being so lazy and not getting out more. Always love finding rings, congrats!

Cool finds My Friend, Silver Rings "Check" , Scrap/ Useful Lead "Check" Cleaning Up the lake Some "Check".

A good hunt all in all.
Davers

Nice ring recoveries!

Higgy - You a tank diver? Steel 130? Guessing by the 3 hours........

One aluminum 80 will give me 2.5-3 hours if I stay between 5-20 feet. Anytime you get over one atmosphere, the compression begins to make you use more. Most of the time I am in less than 15 ft. Honestly, I really do not care to go any longer than 3 hours. My toes start cramping in my boots. My calves start to cramp. My back has had it from crawling around on the lakebed. Three hours underwater is enough to make this old man take a nap! :laughing7:

Yeah - I agree Higgy, that was my next question; after a 3 hour dive are you just spent and need a nap. I sure am!!!

HEY THERE HIG LIKE RING YOU GOT THERE PRETTY NEAT DESIGN.

HEY THERE HIG LIKE RING YOU GOT THERE PRETTY NEAT DESIGN.

Cracked the band when I put it on my sizer mandrel to try and make it round again. [emoji37]

Oh well. I'll solder it up when I get chance.

Looks like your back up spot treated you good, Sweet hunt!!

Good deal Hig, got to love that water hunting!
