Don't understand why the Punch marks were put in the two large cents, one dating 1817, and the other I can't read the date. They were found at two different sites, and about a half mile apart. One has 13 stars, the other has 15 stars. The one with the square hole in it dates between 1810, and 1814, by comparing the head on the coin with the ones of that date. Hope ou enjoy.

Strange that somebody would have done that to them. Like Kyle said. Probably somebody with a little too much time on their hands. I also found a holed large cent today.
