Got a real nice signal and dug down about 6 inches to pull out this interesting iron spike of some sort! At first, thought it might be a railroad spike because the Civil War battlefield I was hunting was right next to a railroad but..... not sure after looking around online and not finding anything like it! Calling on all the experts out there to give me there best guess at what it might be and used for! Again, I know it's not a artillery shell or valuable relic but always trying to educate myself of the many relics I find! Found in South Louisiana at a large Civil War battlefield site and earthen fort! Thanks in advance!
