I have been slacking on posting. Here is the last few days. A buddy at work allowed me to detect his property which dates back to the early 1800's and is one of two houses mentioned in Charles Major's "Bear of Blue River" book from the 1800's. Major is a quite a historic fixture in this county. I was very excited to find the large cents! That makes three total for me in the last three years. Does anyone know what that blank copper/brown coin is? Token? It is very smooth and doesn't match anything in my red book. I found some wheaties and other items but chose the more interesting targets. I included a video of today's 1829 large. Forgive me for rubbing the coin. I try to refrain from doing that, especially silver.
