Relic Hunting
It's great to be back in NC although the area isn't as old as the area in Virginia we moved from. I recently obtained written permission to hunt a 200 acre farm house that dated back to the mid 1800's. My good buddy Modern Miner met up with me on Sunday to see what we could dig up. There was a ton of trash (the etrac is good in trash :icon_thumleft: ) , and we managed to get a couple nice finds including a nice copper lead filled Rosette and a brass Railroad baggage tag.

Thanks for looking

I get no respect, I swear. :laughing9:

Mike,
Thanks again for the invite. That 200 acre farm is a beautiful property. The dog fence place, not so much. :BangHead:
I'll hook us up with the next spot when we go.
Any ID on that tag yet? :icon_scratch:

Folks,
Here's a few shots of the master hard at work.

I agree, looking at it closely, I believe that it may very well be a Sambo Cap Pistol that you have there Mike, just like the one Breezie dug. If that's the case, that's a HELLUVA piece of Americana that I'd love to have in my relic room. You should 'cook' that bad boy and see if that's what you have!

Nice assortment there Mike. Love the baggage tag, the rosette, and the token

Very nice. Glad you are back in NC. I will be home in Nov.-Dec. time frame .Let me know when you head to east NC for some hunting. I have some areas that I want to try out.

Great bunch of finds.... Congratulations.... That does look like a Sambo cap gun...
