Because it's a 1 Quart Meadow Gold Dairy Milk Bottle. Found it on my friends property this morning while helping him break up some Beaver Dams. It was half buried when I spotted it. No in situ picture, because I did not have my phone with me, but it cleaned up real nice. Now, for the real Gold !
