Today I went out exploring a random ditch in the woods with my gp 3000. I had never found gold in this spot before so I wasn't sure if there would be anything there. I spent an hour or so detecting the tick infested and poison oak covered area when it started to rain... I decided to call it because I didn't want to get my detectors control box soaked. I walked back to where I entered the ditch and saw a puddle big enough to take a test pan so I pulled my pan and crevicing tool out and stuck it down into a crevice. Out popped a half gram nugget... I dug the crack out the rest of the way and panned the material. I ended up with a 0.5, 0.1, and a couple little pieces. Here's a pic.

Nice Yella! :occasion14:

After finding that much gold in your pan, I didn't think
you could just walk away from that spot! Hope your
return trip is just as successful........congrats.

Nice find!

Your persistence paid off. Keep at it.

All the best,

Lanny
