Latest Colonial Bonanza..Coppers and Reale's

I met up with my buddy Ken Whitley this week to search what are now thinking was an old stage coach stop in Virginia. Included are our combined finds.

Nice finds Mike!!! That's a good site. Tennessee Digger found the large version of that saddle ornament type at a virgin Morgan CSA Cav. camp featured in my article "Chasing Gen. John Hunt Morgan" in the August 2010 issue of American Digger. It's the second best find of anything Donnie, Julia, and Roger dug there in my opinion. The best find was a U.S. box plate with a rebel flag scratched in the lead on the back.

Good looking hunt there Mike. Nice coppers and reales ar5e always awesome to find. The sheild is a saddle ornament. And the other bit is a strap end. All good stuff! lots of targets there still I see!
