Here are a couple of pics of my new arrowhead hunting buddy. I posted a few pics of my Black Lab pup a couple of months ago. She has changed greatly. If you have ever owned a lab or if you have watched "Marley and Me", you know fun I've been having! She weighs about 45lbs now at age 5 months. She has a very sweet personality. She is one heck of a watch dog. She has a deep bark and growl that definitely wakes you up in the middle of the night. She is also very active to say the least.

One of the pics shows her with a doggy bone in her mouth as if she were smoking a cigar. The other shows her lying on her favorite chair. A salesman came by the house one day and she sat between me and him and just stared. He was a little uneasy. She is very protective. She still loves artifacts. I have to watch out, because she will grab one and run with it. Now if I could just teach her how to find them in a field!

Growing fast, going to be a nice looking dog.

Thanks Muddy Feet. We let her out in the back yard and sometimes she will run "90 miles per hour" around the swimming pool 6 or 7 times. She will look at me with a look like "I don't know why I'm running like this, I just have to". ;D

Good luck in the fields!

Hi TNMountain! That is a nice looking dog (I can't even begin to spell the breed name ;D . A friend of mine has one and absolutely loves it! Is that a handle on the top of the life jacket? It looks like it would be easy to pull the dog out of the water. I also have a Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog). She is about 13 pounds soaking wet. I need to get a life jacket like that for her.

Thanks for posting!

Hi Fla-Gal! Bella is a very sweet dog. We have to keep plenty of chew toys in the house. Most people have toy boxes for their kids, I have a toy box for the dogs. They make sure to drag everything out too.

Thanks for posting!

Hello
Yes the life vest came from pet smart. It does have a handle on it. The dog insist on riding on the front of the boat plus on the banks when hunting arrowheads I can keep up with seeing him. Also makes him look larger to the coyotes
Happy huntin

Labs are my fave dogs. My grandma had two, while I was growing up. She caught me one day, I was about 3 years old, riding on the labs back. Good job I was a little skinny child..

The way mine is growing, I will be able to put a saddle on her before too long! Late in the evening, she will lay down at my feet or try to lay in my lap. That is the only time of day that she isn't hyper! She thinks she is a lap dog. She will try everything to lay down on you. We've still got a lot of training to do, but I think she is going to be a really good dog. We had her spayed about three weeks ago. It didn't even slow her down! I had to stay after her not to jump or get too wild for fear of pulling out the stitches.

Can't wait to see your new finds! My buddy is plowing a new field this year, close to the original field. This one hasn't been plowed in 40 years. I hope it will be like Christmas when I get to hunt it! I'm hoping for many "surprises" to come out of it!

Good luck!

That's a nice looking lab, I have a chocalate lab myself.

Thanks Pinellas Man! This is my first lab. I used to raise German Sheperds. I was trying to talk my wife into one this lab came along. I couldn't resist! We've also got a Sheltie, which is "momma's baby". My wife sometimes refers to our lab as "The Beast" when she gets into trouble. ;D Later on, you can find her cuddled up on the couch with the Sheltie on one side and "The Beast" on the other.

I look forward to more of your finds!

Good luck!

We've got a Pet Smart close by us. I need to get one for our Sheltie. I probably won't be able to keep our lab out of the water this year! I'll check into one for her as well even though she will be a strong swimmer.

Can't wait to see your new finds!

How's it going History_buff? A buddy of mine asked me when I started doing my nails. ;D My daughter is all about getting pedicures. She and Bella fight over the chair. I had Bella outside all day today. It was sunny and 75 degrees here in Central KY. She was funny. Everything is new to her. She was running around smelling everything and barking. She was having a big time out in the back yard. My wife was trimming the dead branches in some of our bushes. Bella would run up and steal the branch out of my wife's hand and take off running across the yard.

I looked at my son's guitar and it is actually a Yamaha. I know very little about guitars. My son loves electric and acoustic guitars. He can play just about anything by listening and then playing.

Good luck and be safe out there in the fields and creeks!

i always wanted my kids to play music, bought them gutairs and keyborads so far no music, whats your secrect. jamey

What a GREAT looking dog!!!! As you probably know... I am fond of labs as well. They are sooooo smart! You know..... it's funny that your wife refers to her as the beast. My wife and I always call Charlie the beast when we talk about him hahaha. In fact, she is home for lunch now and after I post this, I will call here and ask... "how is the beast?" hahaha. I also call him the woolly Mammoth hahaha. he is now 110 pounds!!!!!

Thanks for sharing these great pics. Your dog is lucky to have such cool humans. Stay safe!
