Learning to love foil..sweet little 14K ring!

[adventureswithjim]

I did all the air testing, I know in my mind what gold IDs as, but when I get out there, it's SO easy to drop into coin mode and look for wheats, maybe that last merc dime in South Carolina...but in the end what's it really worth?

So, I been pounding it hard last couple of hunts, retraing my mind and my ears to not ignore foil, didn't take long as I thought for the pay off...a sweet little 14K ring, 1.9g. Gold is SO pretty coming out of the ground.

Here's the vid!

Awesome gold!
You're right digging those foil targets are tough but they do pay off!

Congrats!
Thanks for the vid

well once while coin shooting with an ace 250 at a ""kiddie" baseball field parking lot --I hit a mini pocket coin spill and while cleaning away what rang up as "foil" to get to the other coins --lo and behold-- a 10 K paper thin kiddie gold ring (made in mexico 10k - stamped on it )

Nice vid, Jim. I admit I get POed digging foil targets too but when you do the math like you did it just makes sense. By the way, your vids are a blast to watch, keep em coming.
