You could keep buying those small shovels or just go ahead and buy one lesche. Great tool!

Re: "Lesche Digger"Is it worth it?

I've tried and cannot break mine. I will never have to buy another digger again!

Love mine. It gets as deep as this old bear needs and it takes a licking. A real quality piece of equipment.

I have one and they are excellent tools...I do know a guy that has broken two of them though...if you use it to pry instead of dig, that's what will break any digger.

I have a Lesche Digger + it is a good tool . I'm not crazy about the offset handle however . If digging in wet ground mud always seems to stick to the blade + the offset side is very difficult to wipe clean on the ground . I prefer my Treasure Wise 3 in one tool . HH

All I can say is its very well worth the money. I like the off set and heres why. If the ground is a bit hard,I have a 10 inch piece of aluminum that is 1/4 inch thick by 2 inches wide. I will place that on top of the offset and use both my hands to push the tool on down. It comes with a rounded point,I did file my tool to a point and honed the edges more. I wish they had one a bit longer tho, maybe a 12 inch blade.
You want regret buying it.
I cut my sides for my plug before I pry, and then I only pry about the first four inches. I dont like to get a real deep bite, just a bit at a time. But I do get about four inches on the first one and when I cover the hole up its the last to go back in the hole, grass side up.

I have a $10.00 Lowe's digger, very sharp, and serrated edge, plus it has an " scale. And the Army shovel, which folds in to a hoe, garden tool.
