Two more hammered silver coins met the Deus today. The first an half groat of Elizabeth I. Followed a while later by what "could" be an half penny of Henry IV, light coinage 1412-13. The coin certainly shows annulets either side of the crown. "If" so a good drink in this find !!!.

Out of interest, is this a field you have done well on with the GMP & the Deus is giving you a better return. If so, can you share the setting, because although I'm starting to get to grips with it, I'm sure you must be streets ahead with the learning curve.

I've been doing some online research & I would suggest pushing your Ses to 95, it will go about 1cm deeper, than 90 (on average). I live in hope that my 'hunted out' hammered field will produce this year.

Cru, was in England last October and used Gary's full tones program with a little tweaking for the conditions. I used it for about 2 months before heading over to get used to all the tones. Found 10 hammered silver in 7 days on pasture that had been "hammered" for years. It will take some getting used to, but I'm sold on the full tones option.

Alright Rob. Enough is enough. It is time for you to give us an interim group shot of the hammereds you found. It'll be a bit humbling for the mere mortals here like me but its going to be a rush too. I haven't been out for two months now so this will keep the batteries charged!

Excellent finds. The spot you've covered is just fantastic.

BTW, if you happen to cluster some other cool finds from this place into the family photo that'll work too!

Being around things so old all the time and certainly growing up around them just can't be quite as amazing. I've never been to Europe or out of the states for that matter but I can imagine that I would just be in awe.

I'd never knock what another man drinks but as for me I just can't do anything light. IT just ain't beer to me. But it don't bother me to drink with others who are light ... I mean drink light.

don't get me wrong,As far as beer goes bud-ice is my beer.I know what you mean thow,the light beer seems watered down,but enough ofum will getya. I have just been trying to take er easy here lately.Sometimes the hard stuff can get me in trouble,not to mention feeling like a big turd the next day sometimes.I wish I could quit drinking all together.Only problem is I like it to much.HH Storm,taker easy partner!
