Nice ones rock. Here's mine. The point isn't anything crazy compared to what I see on here but it's the best one I found, and I love it. The sinew stone has gotta be my favorite artifact so far, I found two of them last year surprisingly. Hoping to find a third!

I don't think so…but I have no idea…I thought it was a Greenville?…I think that is what I ended up ID it as…it is real thin.

fyrffytr1 Post it up! Nice ones Joe, both are killer. Nice finds Fatboy, love the colors on that black one. Rock, were points that size typically mounted on spears? I hope this thread opens up!

The two best I have will probably be the best I will ever find in my life time . And it's a toss up between 4 pieces but these two are my favorites . I find myself pulling them out of the frame atleast once a week ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1421461303.685327.jpg

I didn't know Greenvilles had flutes on them and ears that have been removed. Just wondering. The flaking doesn't say Greenville either. I have found a couple of them myself and mine didn't look like that. Looks like a flute to me. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the 1st time.
Just looked it up Base thinning and random flaking. I guess it could be thinned and not fluted but the flaking doesn't look random to me more Archaic or earlier jmo.

Hey..I'm open to suggestions…for sure!…it is thin and fairly small as points go…I found it late summer/early fall and actually thought it was a willow leaf…decided at the last second to flip it over and was surprised to find it..it was a new spot that I was just checking out…haven't found anything there since…what do you think it might be?

This was my best hardstone piece last summer, The point was very nice, but not my best one. But since I found it about 5 minutes after the celt, I thought they should be together for this thread.

OK, you asked for it! I posted it with the coin so Y'all would have something to look at!:laughing7: It would have been a nice one if it were whole.

Yakker, I like those, very nice.

Fyrffytr1, thanks for posting, cool fragment, nice coin too :P

Painterx, Quito, and Southfork, those are all amazing artifacts, that celt is unreal, congrats. Hopefully there's a few as nice as those waiting for me somewhere!
