What an impressive lot of gold that is...

Liberty is just over the hill (North Cascades) from where I live.
I knew there were a number of claims over that way, as Liberty
was one of the earliest gold settlements in the state.

Getting a bit late in the season for me to be running over there
now, but come late Spring (if the rivers aren't flooding) I think
I'll be joining one of the local clubs, and then mosey over that
way and do some sluicing. Would dearly love to get even a small
piece of that wire gold, and then give it to my wife. She deserves
a lot more than gold for putting up with me, but that wire gold is
so beautiful just too look at, and it's something she would treasure.
