life above 1400 feet

took the family today to show them the mountain goats, this one is just now shedding his winter coat. As we had to put ours on it was about 45 degrees up here.

I haven't run into any of those yet, so where do I find them? I'd like some pics, as long as they don't come after me like that moose did the other day.

I've seen them over by the Chalk Cliffs, but this time of year they are above the tree line. I've also seen Bighorn Sheep across the road from Clear Creek reservoir at the old stage trail.

these were on Mt Evans the highest auto road in the world, near Idaho springs. The goats are just now shedding their winter coats. I harvested one a few years ago, best meat I ever had! not far from Frisco RGINN, we should meet up sometime. I fish up there alot. Found a killer 1859-60's mining camp last fall near your turf. I'll have to send you the photo.
