After watching your videos I know exactly what happened. I had raised the Max Frequency but had left the Silencer very low. I've never seen anyone before you talk about the correlation between Frequency and Silencer.

Yeah,
The 24 kHz frequency band when iron is involved can sorta be made to keep with with the 40 max band using lower silencer.
Some folks may use 24 kHz max freq band MF and really don’t realize what they are giving up.
The reason for the video.
I got on board with Xp models early on in USA when Deus 1 was actually available for purchase inside USA. Think Deus 1 was released about 2 -3 plus years before it was available in USA.
And got on board real early on with Deus 2.
And I try to share things I think will help intermediate and beginner detectorist. You won’t read about lot of what I talk about and show in user’s manual. And sometimes not anywhere else besides my YouTube channel. Same can be said about Minelab Manticore.
There are many little nuggets being presented on my YouTube channel when it comes to detectors. Handy info. Plus it may take a user a long time to finally figure some of it out. Using a detector only in the wild won’t expose some of this stuff as fast. And naturally I try to see how this stuff shown with tests applies in the wild when I do actually detect. Most of it parallels to some degree at least some moreso than others.
