What is the significance of having the item beside the cut piece of silver?

I used it as a guided earlier looking at the machine and different freq and settings. It has no significance in the video. It is made of plastic.

This test above with small Spanish bit. What does it mean? Exactly. As far as the bigger scheme of things metal detecting.
Like if we dial back in time.
Sweeping the bit like I did with the nails below it.
With solid tonal presentation and rejecting iron…..
In the year 2012 what detector models would hit it?
Or in the year 2000?
Or in the year 1990?
Lot of models wouldn’t likely right.
And the target a mere 2x4 width below coil…
The shape of the Spanish bit and conductivity level a drivers too…remember this.
