Hello:
These gold rings are 18K.

Mysteries Of Pink Diamonds:
Natural fancy pink diamonds are fascinating to diamond lovers and collectors. How darling are these exquisite gems? Queen Elizabeth II and Victoria Beckham are well-known pink diamond lovers. A flower brooch encrusted with a 23.6 carat pink diamond is one of the queen’s beloved items and fashion icon Mrs. Beckham possesses a luxurious pink diamond engagement ring.
However, how much do you know about natural fancy pink diamonds? How does the pink color form? Why the price of pink stones keeps breaking records? These questions may draw your attention.
For the natural formation of a pink diamond, it has always been a question for scientists and jewelry connoisseurs what causes the pink coloring in a diamond.
Owing to the limited gemological information about pink diamonds, what is known is that unlike other natural fancy color diamonds, the pink color is not due to foreign trace elements trapped inside the diamond’s structure. Natural pink diamonds obtain their color from light reflected along growth planes. Disturbances during the growth process create graining planes (also called grain lines) that bend light and produce a pink hue, which in turn reflects throughout the gemstone. The stronger the graining, the stronger the color of the diamond and more valuable the gem is.
The price of natural fancy pink diamonds is rocketing time and again. The latest record-breaking sale came just last November when a famous jeweler paid approximately US$45.6 million for a 24.78-carat emerald-cut stone which was graded “Fancy Intense Pink” by the Gemological Institute of America at a Sotheby’s auction.
Are all natural pink diamonds expensive? In fact, prices for diamonds in the pink category vary substantially. Prices for fancy light pinks are comparable to the top range of yellows. On the other hand, intense and vivid pinks have a value more comparable to that of their more expensive brethren, blues. The lighter the pink tone, the less rare is the diamond. Heavily saturated pure pinks and purplish pinks are dear to collectors, with prices reflecting their rarity and desirability. Nevertheless, you may fall in love with a fancy light pink which is as affordable as any white diamonds.
To be continued....
Thank you for looking.
Happy hunting

Hamid, those are beautiful rings!

I congratulate you again on superb detecting.:notworthy:

Thank you for the info on pink diamonds...very interesting!

I guess I will have to add finding a pink, blue, or lavander (Oops! - forgot yellow) along with the more common white diamond
to this year 's want list as last years cupeth of rings with diamonds floweth over (not).

Tried hard last year but failed to find the more common fordalight center piece, I have been told that chevalight's
are just as pretty and you cannot tell the difference as the tail light's from most vehicles look similar after they have
been cut and polished.

Do CZs commeth in yellow? If so then I may of been blessed as I may of found a hughe one centered in a ferrous stick pin (easy to pick up with a magnet) along with plumera backed hairpins on my Xcal in pin point mode last year. Just goes to show that you don't need to have a PI to have fun finding bobbie pins plus you get to enjoy hearing ducks quack all year round.

WOW! Nice rings! Thanks for the info too! I have one itty bitty little pink diamond. It's majorly flawed and doubtful it would pay any bills, but, never the less......... hehehehe

Little Gold? I think you mean "Monster-sized gold!" Congratulations, as always, for another nice find.

You inspire a novice like myself. Would love to pick your brain a little on methods you use and which detector you favor. But very nice to see and thanks for sharing...
