thanks monsterack but it does look like they took a chunk of to get the edge,then maybe a little grinding,but im sure its nothing but i see this shape on flint looks like a pyramid that forms the tip just wanted to make sure

It's possible it was a preform arrowhead. From what I see at mine sites they would keep pikes of pieces like that when they were ready but it is hard to say put it in the preform pile haha

lol I havent seen you post in so long I have to give you a hard time. I was expecting a great artifact. I know you have some nice looking artifacts. I guess I was disappointed and that avatar is killer

now that is a nice big old blade james....it does look like two diff points/blades cuz of the light i presume....just look at the color of your hand from one image compared to the next

different kinds of rocks break or "fracture" in different ways along different predictable paths or "planes". Some types of rocks just fracture into natural points, some break with what looks like tool marks with small little chips (like what glass will do).
