Alright heres something that has had me curious over 20 years. When I was about 8 and lived in Illinois I dug a hole in our backyard and found this little feller. This is exactly the way he looked when I dug him up and rinsed him off. Perhaps a nome like on southpark frozen in time? :laughing7: Made of Plastic.

Woah, looks like his family and snow white. I found him about 1987 and we had lived there for a couple years prior.

Josh,
Sorry, I don't agree with you.
The dead giveaway it the casting in the feet.
your image shows feet spread out, not casted together.
I think this pc is older than you think
Also theres the decoration / paint issue
But..... I agree it could be a dwarf

I believe Brady was saying the dwarves I pictured are not a perfect match to your dwarf. I posted the pic to show that, in my opinion, your little man is one of the seven dwarves from the Snow White story. Pinning down a specific manufacturer and date might prove very difficult - however Kuger indicates it is possibly less than 40 years old.

Cheers, Mike

Upon seeing the photo, my immediate thought was that he is one of the Seven Dwarfs in Disney's movie. That movie made its first appearance in theaters in 1937 ...and was re-released to theaters several times in subsequent decades. (if I recall correctly, my parents took me to see it at a drive-in theater sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s.) So, if your plastic figurine is indeed one of the Seven Dwarfs, he could be as much as 74 years old.

I must add that I think he is unlikely to be a mere "gnome," because gnome figurines tend to be ceramic. Movie-character figurines tend to be plastic.

My guess is older than the others pictured. But one of the 7 dwarves. It's a good start for googling!

My mother always had a couple of these in the boxes she kept all the xmas decorations in (possibly part of a full set, but never saw more). They were never used, as they looked old and tatty (well used) and this was in the 60's,so they were probably "new" at least 20 years before and maybe longer.
As i recall they were xmas tree lights. One of the little elongated tree lights would push into the hole in the bottom and lock in.

Okay, first your figure could possibly be celluloid which is an early form of plastic. Second, although at first glance he looks like one of the seven dwarfs, but his outfit doesn't correspond to any of them (color wise). Could still be though I guess. Here is how they are typically outfitted-

Bashful- Long beard Brown top, green hat, long eyelashes
Doc- Short beard Red tunic, brown hat, glasses
Dopey- Beardless Green tunic, purple hat, big ears
Grumpy- Long beard Red tunic, brown hat, scowl
Happy- Short beard Brown top, orange headpiece, smile
Sleepy- Long beard Green top, blue hat, heavy eyelids
Sneezy- Short beard brown jacket, orange headpiece, red nose
