Little Silver Saves the Hunt

Spent the day swinging and came out with the usual allotment of lead! Also a couple crusty coppers and what I'm hoping is another piece of the sword we've been finding. Day's grace was the silver thimble...or what's left of it.

Not to hijack your thread, I'll let you tell Patriot what it was like...temp wise.

Congrats on just getting out. I have found a lot of thimbles, but not a silver yet. So even though just a piece, not a bad find, I think most important it gives perspective to the site. Like Dave said, would have been nice to have been whole. At this point I'm thinking a complete undamaged silver thimble is a real good find.

The rest is good too, and I salute you for getting out there...all I did was look out the window...I'm pittyful. (laughing face)
