I have to go with Derek & The Dominos as the best version. It might be because the Layla album I consider one of the best albums ever.

A lot of others that I won't mention doing this that shouldn't.
For me, the original is the best and the only second best was Stevie Ray Vaughan IMO.
This version, you get a solid guitarist and one the best vocalists not long before he passed away.....
