LLK & Dad Back out in the front yard, big steel, wheats & 1910 Canadian quarter
LLK and I were back out in our yard today. We got three coins 1934, 1939 Lincoln Cents, and a 1910 Canadian Quarter all were in pretty god shape. LLK likes wash the dirt off in Mom's dishwater! Mom keeps asking where all the dirt and grass comes from in the sink! LLK found the smaller chunk of steel, looks like some sort of farm implement. But I won tonight with a piece of steel plate 22"x16 1/2"X 1/4" thk. This baby has some weight 25 3/4 lbs. X .20/lb. = $5.15 scrap value!!!! That's a little game we play when we find a lot of steel. Who can collect the most scrap money. Makes the coins on the property a little easier to find if you spend some time digging all the junk first. We now have permission to hunt four properties with houses going back to the early 1800's, one of which was a stagecoach stop! Can't wait to get some time off work so we can start hunting them! We will keep you posted!
