Locating beach treasure

This is such a "tempting" thread :)... heh :P

Um... Well I will say this ... because I just cannot help myself...
#1. IF... I repeat IF... there was any such "history"... the coins that WERE there are now named the same as the "history".

#2... there is only number 1 :P

Btw... Welcome to Tnet. :)

welcome joe !! It would be more likely that coins, rings etc dont really"wash up"on shore during storms as a rule. They are exposed or concentrated by storm erosion often in areas refered to as,"cuts".Detect these areas as soon as possible because a bunch of guys know this.here are some storm cuts

when the sand is moved away the heavy items are left behind.I may not be describing it the best but I hope you get the gist...:occasion14:

Where are these coin-filled "cuts" you ask? Well, we won't tell you. You'll have to find them just like we did.

bigfoot gives a good answer . I would add that :

1) In addition to cuts , you also look for abnormal/steep slopes & scallop shapes .

2) coins come in with spring summer buildup , but that's never as good as an overnight washout .

thanks guys i will follow your advice and post anything worth mentioning
