All cleaned up, it came out pretty good. Had to stop, started to take metal off. Half way through I was able to get a letter off it. Looks like a C or a G. If its a G then maybe it is a GR. For the Brown Bess. Can't seem to see a crown though..
Any help would be great.

Never thought it would be so fun to clean iron. And it looks good when its done.

That's awesome! Definitely want to get into the electrolysis thing. Any tips, or videos you can suggest? Would love to get a little setup going on the cheap, if possible. Lol
 

I am pretty sure I do see the crown right where it is on your example
