log cabin 100 years old

Yesterday got to go to a old homestead that had
a old pioneer log cabin...sounds good right.

When I got there the place was being torn down
and tractors and all were all over the place.

I was trying to stay ahead of them
the fellows were real nice and told me some
places to look.Old wood and all part of the cabin

Then my 3300 Bounty Hunter started to just go
crazy, it would not beep then it would just stay
on 2 and so on. I know I have to send it it for repair
any one else have this problem?

So I just started digging all in all I do not know what I got
yet.. soaking things now.

Good thing is I get to go back..how long does it take
when you send in yor Md anyone have any idea?

Will take it back to Radio shack and see what they say sure
do not want to be without it to long.

How is everyone elses BH 3300 working? Have
had some problems with ground balancing .

Isn't that just the way it goes? You find a really good spot and then the detector quits working.
My guess is that it will take at least 2 weeks before you'll get it back. I would check it over yourself first to see if its just a bad connection somewhere before you send it in.

I would perform some basic troubleshooting before I boxed it up and took it to the post office.

Check the battery leads, coil connections into the housing and into the search head, check for loose or frayed wires, loose knobs, that sorta stuff.

Check the batteries- are they good??
Common problem with the 3300 is not making a
good connection in battery compartment. Manual
talks about this.

Get yourself a new detector and keep the 3300 as a back-up when you get it fixed.

Better yet, get rid of the 3300 and get something else.
