Lonely Chimney

I was hiking through a nature preserve when I stumbled across an old cellar hole. It turns out that the home dates back to the 1760's. I took other photos of the ruins, but the lonely chimney tells the real story.

When I see the old chimneys & foundation stones, I think of all the 'living' that happened there, if they could only talk, the storys they could tell.

I don't think it would be a problem detecting the site. One of the first things I noticed is hundreds of unfilled holes left behind by someone with the same idea. The trash targets were even left next to the plug. I spent some time flipping the plugs back into the holes where it was not too muddy.

This is the main reason that we all face legislation banning the hobby.
