Spent a long day out with Uncle Jeff of PA and managed a few keepers in the "hunted out" spots. Read his post for the details on our spots, he did a good job breaking down our day
First spot I didn't have a coin until the head hanging walk back to the truck, a mere 30ft from being there I got a solid 12-13 on the etrac and knew it was a nickel, turned out to be a 1944-P War nickel, my only coin from site one
Next few spots produced some clad, but not a whole lot.
Last spot, the one we were told was hunted out and hammered hard over the years, was, well.......not. Within minutes Jeff yelled and said silver! Not 5 minutes later I hit a solid 13-12 and knew it was either a buffalo or V. Turned out to be a 1915 Buffalo! Finished up that spot and our day with a 1917 wheat.
Got some junk and a 1987 rabies vacc. tag as well.
Great day outdoors!
