Looked like a stuffed bird - BUT

It was a real live Screech Owl. I could not believe how small and how cute that Owl was. People could not believe it was not stuffed, but once it turned its head, sure enough it was very much alive.

Each year we attend the Batsto Country Living Fair in October and this display usually has a hawk or two that they are rehabilitating but this year they had this cute Screech Owl.

Thats awsome, all birds of prey are always a beautiful sight. I'm glad to know that there are places out there that help them when they are in need. Nice pics.

i agree with wesfrye53 great pics and awesome detail i said to my mom
take a look at this(3rd pic) and she said " is it stuffed " i laughed and said
look at the title it looks healthy to me did the guy say what the problem was ?
whatever it is i hope it gets released to it's Natural Habitat as soon as possible

Like Duh, I should have asked why the owl was being rehabilitated, and did not. Usually with the birds it is a broken wing I believe, but I really have no idea on that Owl, but he/she sure is cute!

Those little Screech owls are really cute. You have some great pics, Boy, it's too bad there are not more of those activities fot the protection of wildlife. They do so much good. Thanks for sharing, Ray
