I just finished talking with Minelab about my 705, it turns out that the original owner only had the detector for less than 6 months before taking it into the pawn shop, Minelab transferred the warranty into my name with no questions asked and I now have 26 months of warranty left. I'm totally satisfied with my second Minelab detector and the customer service of Minelab, thanks again for everyone's advice and help. HH
