Looking for guided tour wisconsin pan for gold Help please!

My family and I are going on a last minute roadtrip/vacation. We live in Wisconsin and heard that you could pan for gold in Plum City Wisconsin while we were on a field trip this past school year. Can anyone recommend a certain place to go in that area that's guided or do we just show up with our pans and start digging? My children want a treasure hunt.... we don't want to take them to a place where they hand you a bag of dirt ..... I want the real experience.... I'd appreciate any help!
