Looking for help in identifying

Hello, I found this on gulf beach near Clearwater, FL. It looks like glass but it is not at all transparent.

Hard to tell, maybe obsidian. I am the wrong guy to ask about artifacts but it might have been worked a bit then discarded?

Thanks It does look like obsidian but I did not think we had that in FL. Thanks!
