Here is what I do it just takes a little time and research. Google farm fields in (your county and state with zip code). A site should come up with the different names of all the farmers in your area. The one I got is "EWG Farm Subsidies" This will give you all of the names of the largest pay outs of crops in your area. The names should also be in the list. Then google the names, a site for background checks will come up (it isnt free). But you dont have to pay just put the names of the crop owners in the fields and hit the go button. It will give you the address of the person you are looking for. You then can look the name up in the phone book and compare the address to be sure it is the person you are looking for. You then have the # to call and ask permission to walk their properties. They can only say no. With a little luck you might get a yes if you ask nicely. Its much better than not asking and getting in trouble for trespassing. Hope this trick helps, rock

Try this , when you spot some land you would like to hunt go to the court house, go to tax office for land and give them the location of land, they will pull plate book for property and they will have name, address, and phone number of land owner even if they are out of state. This is how I find all of my hunting leases.

friends,friends,friends friends,friends friends friends.......

most times I just find the closet house and ask them if they know who owns or leases to farm it. If they don't know I find the closet farm with equipment and ask them. that works for me most of the time, whether ya get permission or not is a different matter. A bag or two of black morels will get ya very far in making friends around here!!!LOL
