Was just at the bank making a deposit and noticed a man depositing a bunch of halves. When he left I asked to buy all the halves and any "big" dollars. The Ikes may all be clad but can already see some silver edges on the halves. Will post results soon.

Yep, the Ikes were all clad. All 58 of them. On the other hand, it was my biggest score silver halves ever! No box or teller finds were ever this good for me. 43 40% halves.

Right place, Right time. Great finds my good man. I myself went to a bank I've only been to twice in my few years I've been hunting on whim. They had $10 in loose and $110 in the vault. Got a 77 S clad proof and a 68' D. Any silver is good silver.

Nice grab! Great pictures....makes me jealous a little, I haven't found much lately.

Very sharp eyes

Given the age of the guy who deposited them and the types of coins he had, my guess is that inherited them from a parent, did some brief research or had someone tell him about silver, culled all pre-65 coins, but didn't know about 40% halves. Just my hunch. One roll was solid '68 except one '71.

You're rolling in the money...
