purdy! one of my sons and I went scuba diving in Lake Tahoe some years back. Crystal clear and COLD! Is that Tahoe or another lake?

I just read where you said it was Loon Lake. Never heard of that one.

Loon Lake is at about 5000 feet elevation, filled with snow melt-off,
so it's VERY cold.
Head East from Loon Lake and you come to crest of the Sierra mountains and
on the other side of that is Lake Tahoe.
