yes you are right treefrog, i dig in rivers, and creeks thats why they have cool colors and some highly polished, the colors are even more brilliant when they come out, sometimes they are all black, then n a few weeks they may turn brown, or grey, and sometimes the purple and light browns will turn white thanks for the looks!

hello tn mountains i have a 14x14 screen (1/4 inch holes) with 2 5/8 sides a small folding shovel, but mostly hand dig pm me if you want any more details or tips i would be glad to share!!!!

The hands just work better. Every time I bring a hand shovel it turns into just something extra to carry. The fingertips get pretty sore when water softened and ground down ha ha.. even with gloves. Nice finds!

Exellent finds.:icon_thumleft:

you are right gator there is nothing like reachingdown in a hole and feeling that worked flint then seeing it in your hand, i have started doubling up with the gloves, i will blow out 3 or four pairs in a day..... watch out for nail fungus lol, whatever happened to that bog site you were finding that spanish, and indian stuff in?

Still working it. It's still producing

Those are nice looking points. I used to hunt in that general area years ago while stationed at Fort Rucker. Had some luck down stream from the city/town of Clayhatchee in Clay Bank Creek. Haven't been back in years. Good luck.
