Hey I'm 17 and I just got started hunting Indian artifacts this summer. Iv got a pretty good sized collection now I think but tell me what you think and if I say something is what it isn't let me know. All of these objects were found in 3 creeks in Cincinnati Ohio or were dug up in my yard. I can't believe it but I think my yard was an Indian camp at one time because one day while eloping my mom with hard work I found a point then dug that whole spot out and found a maul and grindstone. What luck! Everything Iv identified via Internet so bear with me. First picture is a semi translucent orange and red thumbnail scraper with a black streak through the top. Next picture is a small drill or perforator. Next is a small concave discoidal game stone and my appears to have a dragon fly or stick figure carved into it.next is a drilled stone pendant. Next is a stone hand maul for grinding grain. The next 2 pictures are both of what I think are a Celt not positive though. Then the next 2 pictures are of the pints Iv found, the white one with the target I found in my yard just sticking out of the ground. Then the next pic shows two small tools like scribes or something. Next is some scrapers Iv found, 7 total. Then there is a Celt. Next picture is a stone gorget with 2 holes drilled in it. Next 3 pictures are what a website says is a "cone" but I'm not sure what that's used for I thought it was a hand axe when I picked it up. Next picture is a broken pipe I found. Then there is the maul and grindstone, 2 pictures of that. Next is a really small bird point that has really precise tooling around the ears, you can see little scrapes like from a needle. Then there is a hammer stone or chopper. Next is a broken drill I found. Next is a fossilized bone I found right next to a Celt, pretty cool. The next 2 pictures are what I think is a duck statue. I saw a website selling something like that online and that what they called it, the head part is covered in tooling and appears to have been painted green at one point.the last 3 pictures are something I can't identify, the top is perfectly flat and smooth and has scrapes all going in the the same direction. Thanks for looking!

You really made some nice finds. The pipe bowl is from the Historic Period. Good luck from Iowa.

Very cool finds. It does look like you might be living on an old site. The carved stone is very unusual and would enjoy hearing what others think. It sure looks like a dragon fly to me. Like the pestle grinding tool. You are starting to get a really good collection. I am unsure on the duck thing. Are you sure its not a fossil? Always hard to tell from an internet picture.
Happy Hunting and thanks for sharing.

Really Nice finds....you've got a great collection started. If you are finding this many artifacts on your property they probably extend over adjoining properties as well. Be careful not to break any antiquities recovery laws and use a scientific method to excavate, sift, document and recover all that you can from your property. You just might have yourself your own little museum! Looking at the artifacts....the site may have been used by different people at different periods.:award_star_gold_1:

All those slice marks on the big flat rock are awesome! I love artifacts that show that much use!

It uploaded them out of order, everything is bumped over one. And I went to the Cincinnati museum center and found some maps of old Indian trails and found out one runs straight through my hard and I also found like 4 others that run along creeks by my house. It is bad for points. I want to find another nice point but haven't had much luck with those
