Lost wedding rings

About a month ago I started getting notices on Next Door about a Lady that lost her wedding ring set. I send probably 5 or six messages to get her phone number. Yesterday morning she finally sent it to me. I called her and asked about where she lost her rings. I was not even sure where they was lost at. Found out she lives 3 miles from me in a private lake community. I live out side it and have to have someone call me in if i want to go there. I told the lady if she wanted look for her rings I would loan her a metal detector and teach her how to use it. her and her husband and one child drove over to get it. When they got here they came in and I explained a few things to them.I explained what usually happens to rings in grass. Before they got here i took one of my small gol;d rings and hid it in my grass. She told me she really did not like giving out her phone numbers because of scammers which I understood. I chose a Tesoro Lobo to loan her. Simple to use and light weight. I then took them pout side and showed them how to properly swing a detector. I then showed her where to start swinging and let her go. She went right past the ring with out finding it. I took her back to the starting place and showed her again how to swing it. I told her when looking for a specific item you do NOT WALK AND SWING at the same time. I told her again NOT TO WALK and SWING !!! . You swing both ways (back and fourth0 then move forward a half of coil length. . She tried it again BAM she found it !!!! She told me though it was hard to see because i had placed it on it's edge. I took the ring and dropped it again in the grass. She was surprised it landed in the grass and stayed on it's edge. Most of the times in grass a light ring lands and stays on it's edge. These are just some of my methods that work for me . Thought i would share them

I forgot to add they lived about 2 miles from the area she thought she lost them. she had placed them on the side rail of her husbands truck. Less then a half hour after they left she called me back. I knew she had forgot how to turn the detector on . I was wrong. She was screaming and crying and told me she had FOUND the rings in her yard. Seems There was a bump in her driveway they must have fell off there. She had went to her yard to test out the detector there first
I can not TELL YOU HOW HAPPY SHE WAS !!! In less then a hour from when they left she was crying and smiling
