Made it out to see if all of the rain a few weeks ago was good to me.

It was! Got some nice pottery, some flakes, fire reddened stones, and a complete point! Here’s some pics, I never remember insitu pics because I get excited, but I managed one of this big chunk of pottery. Thanks for looking!

Everything including the pottery looks to be from Woodland period. The pottery rim could be Lamar culture and the other is either net impressed or cord marked. The triangle is probably the same time frame. Good finds

They used their fingers in my section to mold the rims. Of course you aren’t in Georgia so it might be called something else where you are at

Yeah 95% of the points i find are triangles. I would assume either Uwharrie or Yadkin types.

I also have a couple very small ones that I think are maybe hillsborough?

I was pulling on a root and when it gave I smacked my knuckle on my shovel real good.

I bet that stung if it was cold out.

I have fallen into a few creeks trying to cross them on a log, lucky I guess I have never gotten hurt while in the field.

A good day in my book, rim sherds are always a notch above general pieces of pottery.
