Madison?

It's 1 3/4 inch thin. Madison point or a small tool?

How did you get it, personal find?

Looks more like a uniface scraper than a point to me. The area that I figure to be the base doesn't show any thinning, and looks more like the working end of a thumb scraper.

Sometimes you can"t figure which end was used. Nice find!

I'm with Quito on this one. Either way I don't think it's a Madison or really even an arrowhead. Who knows? Nice find.

No picture of the back, is it flat, I'm thinking it is......... From pictures it appears as others say, a nice thumb scraper....

Madison will be straight to concave. Looks like a tool maybe. Good eye to catch that artifact.
These may be madisons or what I assume t be that type.

Rock, personal a few years back. Treasure it's flat on back photos show both sides. Its pretty thin, I think it would snap with major pressure. Must be some kind of detailing tool like maybe grooving pottery or something.Just like the age old question of how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsiepop..... The world may never know.

Not really cosmo, it's what's commonly called an end scraper or thumbscraper. I have several hundred of them, and can spot one from quite a ways away. Some are thin, and some are thick, some are big, and some are very little, and that is a very nice, example.
