magnetic rock with clear/white core of quartz

Found along the south Platte river near Denver. It is magnetic with a white/clear quartz running threw the middle. As well, has a small amount of rust colored crys Tal

It looks more like a crumpled up hunk of sheet metal imo.

Thank you for input. Do not believe so though. There are parts where they white crystal quartz appears to be melted and is a mixture of quartz/crystal and iron. Looks nothing like a manmade steel either!

Did you find it near a railroad. Looks like it might be a clinker from a coal fire, and the coal was full of rocks.
