Well I took my new JSink 12V Hookah out for it's maiden voyage, figured it would be a trial and error thing. The battery lasted for an Hour and fifty minutes. But I only got to hunt for part of tht time as the error came when I found I wasn't wearing enough weights. Kept floating upwards, (and if any of you tell me the part where fat floats...so help me...). Anyhow, I did manage to find two nice wedding bands, one size 13, 14K yellow gold band, and a size 8½, 14K white gold band. Plus a small handful of coins. All in all it was a good trial run, got to go buy weights this weekend as I cannot lose ten pounds by Monday :tongue3: Aloha all.

Two more to add to the box. WTG. I was wondering how you guys manage to stay put. Weights! I have a small problem with staying put myself and I don't want to talk about that 3 letter word either!

Relax, it is not the fat, it is the wet suit. The deeper you go the less weight you will need down there so I suggest you also get a BC vest so you don't sink into the bottom. Do you have a spare air source and dive knife for fishing line?

Sorry, I don't know how to be delicate about your floatation problem. You need to add weight in the form of dive weights, not donuts. I have the donut problem too and use 19 lbs. with my 6 mm. wetsuit. LOL ::)

I never met a donut I didn't like...........

Nice big band there and a complimetary band to boot.

Million question time now.

Someone else may have asked but did you eyeball the bands or were you using your machine?

Also how deep did you dive?

Did you dive alone? I know it is not recommended but I probably won't have an option if I go that way.

I am very interested in trying that here in Florida.

Thanks

No eyeballing, I detected them. The one pic is after fanning the sand away. As it was my first time I stayed shallow, probably only 8-10' of water.
Yes I dove alone.
The one mistake I made was not wearing fins. I'll be sure to Always wear them. After the pump quits, you just can't walk out of the water.
I can't wait to put on some more wait and get out there again.
How've you been DaChief?
AND SANDMAN: IT'S AN ICE CREAM ADDICTION HERE. :laughing7:

Nice going on the rings. What size battery are you using? Do you carry a spare?

14-16 lbs keeps this fat boy on the bottom, even with the waves rolling in.

Hey WTG,You're doing it.Great fun,good exercise,and relaxing,plus the finds.
Can't believe how little weight some of these guys use to keep them down.
12-16 lbs? I use more than that to scuba, and when bottom hunting
considerably more weight. And I'm not fat. Some of the pros over-weight
themselves and use knee pads to keep their suits from wearing. But thats
working in a hole or one area.Still hate that feeling of wanting to float
upwards while fanning of working. Use up more air that way. Can't relax.
Good luck and have fun with it.HH Joe

Nice rings! I had fun with hookah. Best place to find rings is all around the floating dive platform. But at least have someone with you on shore. One time at a small lake I had some kids throwing rocks into the water. Now that can be annoying!

As I said it was the maiden voyage. I do plan on getting a spare battery, I myself could stay down in that world all day. So far I'm using the Optima group 31 battery.
And JoeSWFla...I hear ya. I'm not fat either (maybe ice cream chunky :tongue3: ) and I'm wearing 12 pounds of weight, I have to bump it to 22#'s and see how that goes.
