granthansen and I made our 2nd visit to 7 acres of permissioned private property near Mt. Holly, NJ. We arrived at 7 and left at 4:30, only breaking for lightening and lunch. Grant had the find of the day, which happend on virtually his last dig--see here: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/todays-finds/305422-1857-flying-eagle-penny.html. Grant provided full details of the marathon hunt here, including pics of our all of our finds, but below are my better takes, which include a 1900 indian, 1936 merc, 1936 buffalo, war nickel, and a nice token (no writing, just stars), plus a few buttons that are soaking in hopes of getting rid of some crud. Peace and HH.

I hunted Mt Holly a lot back some years ago. I remember I was able to hunt the old prison. I found some cool stuff on that hunt.

NJLargeCent, you definitely got some really good finds, and kept me motivated during a long, back-breaking day. Can't wait to go back!

I forgot to ask you... where did you dig up the war nickel? How deep was it?

Hard to remember b/c I didn't immediately know it was a war nickel. Just thought it was a Jeff. Prob. mid-lawn somewhere and early on.

Some nice keepers after a long day, Congrats :icon_thumleft: ! Place looks promising, I'm sure theres a lot more treasures hiding out there, good luck on the next hunt.
