march totals

hi boys and girls. long time no post but i've been busy! LOL!

'09 has been pretty good so far for old fiddycent. hit some good boxes of late. so far this month i've pulled 360 40%ers, 58 90%ers, and 10 dimes. started hitting the halves harder and slacked off alot on the dimes.

found a $20 roll of large dollar coins which contained one silver bi-centennial Ike proof dollar! also found an 1873 english florin in excellent shape.

silver total for the month....74.945 ounces. been a pretty good month. sooner or later the well will run dry but until then....wooooohooooooooo!!!

came back and modified this post. i had it titiled '09 totals. those were my monthly totals for march. oops!

my yearly totals as of april 10th is:

dimes 10

90's 127

40% 719

plus the aforementioned Ike and florin...

for a total of 146.48921 oz. of bling. not bad for a part time hobby.

hi diver. i'll take a pic or two of the Ike and the florin and post them in the near future. the 40's, 90's, bens and walkers look like everybody elses though. LOL! seriously, i usually just tally up my finds, add them to my totals and them store them away.

the Ike's in pretty good shape. very prolly in the AU grade. wish it would have been better because i hate to see tiny contact marks/defects in a truly collectible coin but hey...a sliver proof bi-centennial Ike is fairly special in old fiddy's collection.

the florin is in great shape considering it's 136 yrs old. saw one sell on feebay recently for close to fiddy bucks....so that florin is a good find. oddly enough i haven't found ANY junk foreign coins (except in dimes) this year.


hey TXtim. spent the weekend with bro and sis-in-law. she showed me her latest and i showed her my latest. LOL! no matter how much bling i find i still stand in awe of what LJ has done. she truly is the silver queen.
