Nice old token! It is listed in Kappen's California Tokens as #32 under Angels Camp / Angel - he put a $7.50 value on it, but remember that was in 1976, so adjust for inflation, etc. Kappen didn't give much in the way of history, but the maker's mark on the piece helps with the dating. L. H. Moise was in the token manufacturing business starting in 1893. He bought out the competing Klinkner company and tokens with the Moise-Klinkner logo on them started to be produced in 1898, leaving a 5-year span for the ones marked Moise S. F. or L. H. Moise S. F. And, I found that the 1900 Census lists an Andy Martin in Angel as a bar keeper, but there doesn't appear to be a listing for his brother that year.
