Well, I didn't know if I would live to see it, but Mastereagle22 finally found a zipper pull. He was stoked!!! I didn't know wether to laugh or cry. :'( It was his first signal of the night and he pops this out. Now I know how a father feels when he sees his son hold his girlfriends hand for the first time, or graduate school, or announce he is a new dad.

Here is the big moment for those of you following his plight:

I didn't know what to say...so I just pinched his head. <pinch> <pinch>

I dig a lot of them zipper pulls but they really read good at times, you just never know what you're going to dig until it pops out of the ground !!!! ;D ;D

lmao !!!! SQUISH !!! nothing like a first find ! makes for a fun hunt.... ;D ;D

:o My guess is that Mastereagle is on a high now. I was out walking around the other day when I came across a beauty of a zipper pull. The darn thing looks brand new, all nice and shiney and all. It looks like Wilver but I'm sure its only zink or maybe some of that new medal they been using now days. After talking with you I was gona PM Mastereagle and offer it to him for $30 plus shipping cost. Heck I did find it after all, its not like I spent the whole day in a feild with my MD. I'm sure this is one that MEagle would be proud to own, not a scratch on it, looks brand new must have been lost first day of issue. Now that he has his own, I guess that 50/50 split you and I had agreed on anin't worth a dime. So for now I'll just toss it into my junk box and try again later. hehe
HH to the both of you!

Well I will not lie, I was excited to find it. The thing is old and I could tell when I dug it up and so could Baldingboy. After doing some research and cleaning it a little the words Gripper Zipper appear on it. The only reference I could find about Gripper Zipper appeared in the 1940s and it seems to have faded out in the early 1950s. So this might actually be a cool find. It isn't made out of pot metal or zinc, must be copper or brass.

And since I have such a fat head it isn't too hard to pinch. ;D :D

Did some more research: Did you know that the actual device that moves up and down on the zipper is called a slider? And guess what the little device you grasp to move the slider with is called???

A Pulltab! I thought sliders where from White Castle... ???

WTG Mastereagle!! That's one very cool, very ancient looking zipper pull! Congrats!
