Material id?

My hunting buddy found this on a river bank after some high tides. It's a broke but we are trying to id the material. Definetly not a normal material for Maryland and I have over 300 points and not one is made from this stuff. Any ideas?

Looks like Upper Mercer *coshocton* from Ohio.

Not sure, some material can be so stained that it can be impossible to ID. Some stuff of mine you could reknap the surface of that is near black & it would turn light brown, even while seeing those white streaks. On yours, coshocton is a pretty good guess.
