The Beast is what I call my new CTX and today I took it out on its first CW hunt and was very pleased. It was a great way to end the year. I have hunted this ground many, many times with the Atpro and it's been awhile since I had a pocket full of keepers like this. I found eleven bullets to include round balls, 58 and 69 mini balls and a Ringtail Sharps. Also found five Eagle buttons and the best find of the day was a Kepi buckle that was eight inches. The bullets were between 6 and 9 inches. I'm really happy with my new machine and hope to get out tomorrow if the weather permits. Thanks for looking
Happy New year to all!! IMG_20161231_150640998.webpIMG_20161231_153457783.webp

Not sure what you have. Can you give us some info on where you found them and the history of the place. They appear to be more modern to me but I may be wrong.

I found them in the Presidio of San Francisco. It used to be a military base but that ended in 89 I believe.

Great job on the lead RN... Coincorey your bullets look like 45 cal. if i had to take a guess.

oh okay thanks! Is it hard to tell if they are old or not? Or do you need the exact measurements to know for sure?

I thought your wife didn't metal detect. :tongue3: Looks like you are enjoying that CTX 3030. Congrats on pulling all those keepers to finish off the 2016 season. :occasion14:

I sincerely wish you and yours a safe, healthy, and prosperous 2017.

First hunt in a well searched place! I think your learning curve is going to be pretty short with your new toy :)

Congrats my friend!

I'm going to try to get out tomorrow, but the cat has a bad cold....

Thanks Buddy! It feels good in my hands. Can't wait to see what that big 17 turns up for you. Probably cost me money! Happy new year friend!
